ITALIAN 'NIGHTMARE'

I too doing battled with this 'gutter' co.(delonghi) - bad products, and even worse service. Should be a warning on every delonghi product "buy at your own risk" Put customers through *** to return a combo coffee maker BCO430 -hours on phone, faxing, e-mails just to get approval, then I had go pack up, take to post office, pay and wait a month for some mom and pot coffee gift shop in Bronx, NY they use as their repair service to return machine and now steam pouring out of it (all over kitchen cabinets) and was told to start process all over again. Callled Bloomingdales, Hackensack, NY (Cheryl Mgr. small appliance Dept.) and she had AN idiot from delonghi call me to say - never a problem with this machine - first he's heard of this - REALLY?? -DOUBT IT! but NO RESPONSE TO PICK UP AND/OR REPLACE (STILL UNDER WARRANTY AND PD SEVERAL HUNDRED FOR IT). DON'T BUY A THING FROM THESE CROOKS - MAYBE THIS IS PAR FOR COURSE IN ITALY - THEY JUST IGNORE AND ABUSE PEOPLE. DON'T EVEN BUY A TOOTHPICK FROM THESE DISGRACEFUL CON-ARTISTS,GANGSTERS!!

I will never buy Delonghi Products anymore

Never buy ESAM 3300 Coffee Machine ever. I had an issue with the water tank when I had warranty. Thy sent me to one of their vendors to fix it and then the issue persisted to show up over and over again. I called them several times and they just gave me random instructions on what to do to fix it myself. they basically stalled me until the warranty period is over. After that, they told me it needs another service which I have to pay our of my pocket, for something that they couldn't fix during the warranty period. Their customer service sucks., they just apologize and do nothing to make a difference for their customers.

BAD PRODUCTS AND EVEN WORST SERVICES

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
This is the worst service I ever ran across. I bought an expresso maker less than 10 month ago and it broke twice and they want me to mail the cord in and pay out of my own pocket....why? other than the inconveniences for not have a coffee maker for 3 weeks the first time, I need to go into town, pay for the shippping, before they will replace it?????? it might be another months before the replacement return. what good is that kind of warranty? And, what will happen when the warranty expire???? I call the headquarters and cannot hear because of the back ground loud noises and they keep asking to repeat what I have already complaint about.....I ask to talk to a supervisor but never happened......DO NOT BUY FROM THEM....BAD PRODUCTS AND EVEN WORST SERVICES

Beware De'Longhi products

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Warning! Do not purchase De'Longhi products. Customer service is sub-standard at best. Purchased a portable a.c. unit that didn't last a year - sent it in to be repaired (at my expense) and received back a sticky, scratched, and vibrating unit; but it cooled. Received item back in December, tested successfully & stored for winter. Now summer is here and until was used for less than an hour and broke again (same issue). Contacted customer service and after many calls and email, I was told they would only cover the part(s) & return shipping, and could not provide any information on how much the labor would be... use caution - as the product purchased will not be supported!

No offer to pay for missing parts

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Just got off the customer service line because the tower heater I bought last week is missing the screws for the base and the unit can't function without the base. Inside the packaging it expressly says to call DeLonghi--not the retailer where the unit was purchased.

The unit is evidently no longer made and they did not have replacement screws. The solution? Go to a hardware store and buy replacement screws. Refund?

Nope.

Then the guy said "well a package of the screws costs 99 cents which evidently is their rationale for not offering any kind of reimbursement. Wow--I will never buy a Delonghi product again.

Portable AC - never buy from these people again!

Delonghi - Portable AC - never buy from these people again!
Delonghi - Portable AC - never buy from these people again! - Image 2

Bought new Portable AC June 2016 - within 30 days, yes 30 days, the impella fan came loose and wobbled hitting the side walls like a machine gun. No AC option. Unit was unboxed and stayed unmoved in same room.

Numerous calls and all I ever got was lies and broken promises. "we will get back to you in 3 days", next call it was 7 days, then 10 days, etc. I got one girl who promised, yes PROMISED to call me back with their engineer on the line within 15 minutes with a solution - no call back. More lies!

So on the 5th or 6th call I started swearing and shouting at the man who took the original call from me. This was 8/5/16. He PROMISED to get to me this Monday by 5pm. I'll let you know what happens.

Follow up to prior post of 8/8/16: Ok so they called me on the Monday at 4:55pm and said they would FedEx a new unit out. Hold on!

Too good to be true? Oh yeah! It's 8/30.16 now and no new unit. Their shipping dept had put two shipping labels on it and it got delivered to a wrong address.

Calls to FedEx were as bad as these people. Put in a claim to track it and got stonewalled for three days until they finally said they would only give information to the shipper except that it had 2 labels and was wrongly delivered.

Cust Serv promised to call me today with an update - I had to call them and they were just waiting for FedEx to return their call (yeah right!). It might get resolved but this saga will have to wait for another update!

Our Tower Heater is Junk as well..

What can I say that hasn't already been said about our ceramic tower heater.. Ours is only a little over a year old and while it would definitely heat up a room if it would simply stay on, it has problems.. - It shuts off constantly and sometimes won't come back on at all until `voila`.. it's back.. Other than this there seems to be no problems. Shutting off however, is a big problem.. - Avoid DeLonghi Products.. they're junk.. ..I wish that we would've put our money into a better piece of equipment. That's what I get for not researching before I make my purchase.. - They won't get my money again..

Buyer BEWARE

This company and their products suck. Its now 0915 Tuesday October 04,2016 and there customer service center is still closed the recording states " where here to help you M-F 0900 to 1700". I have been referred to get some warranty work done from a third party service center at a location in Southern California. I was told they no longer work on Delonghi products after one of the Delonghi reps told me to contact them. You see my compressor is not working on my portable air conditioner and it has been nothing but a run-a-round from their customer service and the entire company. I would strongly advise you to think twice before doing ANY BUSINESS WITH THEM. There are other companies out there to be of better quality and excellent service to you.

The Saga Continues....

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I'm the same guy who posted originally - the saga continues! The unit was sent apparently with 2 shipping labels. One label to me and one to the company meant to receive the defective one I had. Well, of course my replacement unit was shipped to New York to the warehouse where the old (all of 3 weeks before it went bad) unit was destined. Numerous calls to DeLonghi and no one doing anytning except saying they would call FedEx and no replies from FedEx until last Friday a Joycelyn did a chat with FedEx and it was PROMISED (another promise) to be picked up and expedited to me. Well a week later no unit b/c the huge warehouse it went into don't have it. Duh! It had a label to them, it got absorbed into their inventory and the label removed. It's GONE!! So after 2 tries at a pickup by FedEx I have to go back to those idiots at DeLonghi and try to explain that its gone never to surface again. Did they actually call their receiving warehouse and make sure it was ready for pick up? Is the moon made of gold? I'll keep you updated on how a simple replacement is now going into its third month.

New bk one with electron push button straight down the side of it. It will not heat hardly.

On 900 watts and set on 75 , small bedroom would not heat it up, thermostat not worth a ***, kept kicking on and off when it need to stay on longer, the small radiator fins made out of whatever and I guess antifreeze in it, any oil in those small worthless fins? it is 70 degrees in room, heater on 75 and in the morning it is still off and you can tough it, no heat at all, what the ***. It is going back too. You dumb people going to go out of business, fire some of them, who is making this junk?

Make a dam 8 or 9 fins one out of good metal, thick fins and put some dam oil in it , with a dam thermostat that works , most of the problem with the small ones last several years, junk thermostat in them all, brand new , had several of them junk ones, just got mad and threw them back behind the building brand new since I had lost the receipt,fk it. Don't make them like years ago, you making them in China, like those junk Pure Edens that smoke brand new?

Delonghi Does Not Honor Warranty nor Service Requests

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I purchased a MAGNIFICA ESAM 3300 in June of 2015. 6 Months Later problems began and eventually the machine would not work. Repeated emails via. their customer support channel went unanswered. The warranty period is now expired. Because I used their channel, there is no proof I ever contacted them. Very clever way to avoid accountability for product failures. There is no user review associated with their product site, so potential customers have no way of knowing that the company will not stand behind their product. To make matters even more irritating, there are better machines available at lower prices on the market. Almost $700 for a coffee machine should merit customer support.

Repeated product failures with Delonghi dehumidifier

Purchased a Delonghi DD50P dehumidifier through New Egg May 24, 2012. By June 2013 it was no longer removing humidity. I contacted CS and was told it needed to be sent in for repair. I sent it in only to find that the repair center that they directed me to did not service this line. After more hassle Robin at Delonghi CS finally sent me a replacement unit. One season later it was failed again doing same thing. Went through the whole send in for service again. This time it came back with the display panel floating loose in the cabinet. I never even took it out of the box. It was as if the service center disassembled it and returned without reinstalling it. Delonghi sent a pick up slip and took the unit back. Over 3 months later I received a replacement (Dec '14) and since the humid season was done it sat in the box until summer '15. It ran the summer of '15 and was shut down for winter. Started up in summer '16 and guess what-no function. Controls work, compressor runs it just does not do anything. Sealed system has leaked the Freon once again. This time they say I'm stuck because it is 2 months past the 4yr sealed system warranty. No account for all the lost time during repeated All CS is handled by a 3rd party company and no contact with anybody at Delonghi whatsoever. I have since moved on and purchased a Danby unit. I can watch the water drip out the hose constantly as it hums away doing it's job keeping my basement dry.

*** the can further where the can belongs

Can,t descale the tank reservoir is it sit too long as I was on a bed for a yr. plus so it scaled up manual says to unplug then let drain but it has scaled up way to badly but if one goes on a vacation for a season or so they have same problem as I Delonghi says if I open it to clean reservoir it voids warranty problem is they want me to pay for shipment for this heat pump apperratist very heavy so I think costly since Delonghi closest repair shop is Connecut I live in Maine , then they offer to pay for shipment I appreciated there offer but let it be known I love this machine But! They are refusing me the freedom of fix my own appliance because it voids warranties if opened this heat pump air conditioning unit so I ask ? Who then owns this beautiful piece of machinery so in the state of Maine has statues of warranties so I declare this Eco PAC N130 HPE defective do to a default of design for consumer access to descale water tank , problem is if I open the unit it's voids warranty, so I feel the Delonghi Corp. still own the bolts of my machine I bought like my grandfather taught me how to descale a hot water tank note it does not void warranty must have maintenance of des along to prolong the life of hot water tank so then Delonghi denies my constitutional right of man to clean his own apperratist if I go in it voids warranty if I ship for repair every time it needs descale I'll be broke remember Maine to Connecticut . Note spokesman and spokeswoman Laurie say to send it to a air and heat repair shops in Maine so then I asked Laurie if it voids the warranty Laurie and all in her conference call table replied warranty void so my constitution to fix my OWN appliance has be violated I I work with tools all my lies and like my grandpa want to fix my stuff my self I thank you for listening it's in my judgement defective of asscibilty
