Plastic! That is my complaint! Cheap plastics from cutting corners and being cheap where metal should be! NEVER again will I buy Delonghi! Beware people! Within initial opening of new Specialista, we had to send it back because Grindr would not work. They sent it back repaired but within 1 year it spit steam because of cracked housing of.plastic! Again, too cheap to use metal!

This over-priced garbage is not worth the shipping price. A small part of the plastic water tank broke within the first 2 months.

It still made coffee but after a bit, the machine said that the descaling cycle was mandatory. I went through the process as directed but it would not go past the 1st cycle. I called customer service twice and spent HOURS on video conferencing but the rep could not help either. I called customer service back a few weeks later and this time got a knowledgeable rep.

She saw within 10 seconds that a small part was broken. She sent a link for us to order the $50 part at OUR expense.

The water tank was on back-order so after 1 MONTH of waiting it finally arrived today. I just opened the box and the "new"water tank is BROKEN!

Do yourself a favor and buy a Mr.

Coffee espresso machine. One-fifth the price and 1,000 times better!!!

Terrible Coffee maker

I purchased a Delonghi Tru drip coffee maker in 10/23. I have had nothing but trouble since.

I called technical support and they walked me through the first problem. Now I can only use the whole bean grinder to make coffee. If I put ground coffee in it falls through and makes a mess but won't make coffee. Now no matter what setting I use the coffee tastes scorched.

I'm using the same Black Rifle coffee I have always used. I have called several times been on hold over 30 minutes both times and been hung up on. I have sent emails with no answer.

So now I have a very expensive paper weight because who can drink scorched coffee. The machine should be under warranty but I can't get any help.

Delonghi a BIG fail

Delonghi product and service a BIG fail!

Delonghi is a major disappointment, and cannot be trusted!! I have had 2 delonghi debeta 90 rangehoods.

The 2nd range hood has just died, with the same fault as the 1st rangehood. The component behind the light and fan buttons has failed, the fan 3 blue light is on and stays on, the component cannot be replaced, rendering the entire unit useless and needing to be replaced, at a cost of $1000. A quick search on the internet reveals that many people over multiple years have had exactly the same fault. The product is clearly faulty, however Delonghi are not interested.

Promised callbacks never come from their overseas call centre.

The best they can do is to send dismissive emails to say "Try getting a technician to look at the problem."(ref Julie, Ticket# 497****)

I have reported this complaint to the ACCC, consumer report number: accc-report:685224

I also propose to lodge a complaint with the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal, QCAT. Please advise details for acceptance of service of documentation.

Have a question about (possible) problem with delonghi machine. No customer service in Latvia, links to "message us" and "call us" dead, attempts to create an account lead to 404. Hiding from the customers!

Expensive $800 espresso coffee machine broke in a few months of purchasing. Terrible customer service experience. They sent a new one and new one breaks in less than 1 year. They sent another one and once again has problems with grinder, milk frother among other issues. Unbelievable how terrible this machine is. Better to buy a cheap espresso machine that works wonders than this expensive junk. Never again. And don't expect delonghi to solve it. They just send back broken machines.

Two adults own and meticulously maintain this machine (descaling, no pets, no smoking) while using only espresso beans. After a recent descaling, all the bean lights flash along with the !

symbol. Although the troubleshooting team, by way of video chat 3 separate times, attempted to fix the problem, we now need to send it in for service. Problem is, we did not register our machine when we bought it, which would have given us an extra year of warranty and covered this expensive service.

Prior to this machine, we owned a Saeco for 10 years before it needed service. Having had this positive experience with Saeco, we are VERY disappointed in the quality of Delonghi, the fact that the company will not warranty it, and would not recommend buying a dinamica.

Preferred solution: If we had registered the machine when we bought it in March of 2021, the services costs related to fixing it would be covered. We would like a warranty to cover the necessary current service costs to fix it.

User's recommendation: Consider another brand. If you must buy Delonghi, register your purchase to at least cover the first service it may need in the early years of ownership..

Warning DO NOT Buy -Customer Service SUCKS!

My DeLonghi combo espresso/ coffee maker stopped working after 5 months. The coffee brewer would not turn on or heat up.

I contacted them. It was like talking to a rock. They insisted on a video call so I could show them and refused to assist me unless I complied. I retrieved the coffee maker from the garage set it up and as expected NOTHING happened, it did not work.

They asked for the serial number, which is located under the bottom of the machine. This necessitated me lifting the entire machine with water and carrying it to the sink to empty it so I could access the serial#. After the video they advised me that I would be receiving an email with instructions on the shipment of a replacement in 3-5 days. I received the email today 5 days later.

Get this! They want me to cut the cord off of the coffee maker and send it back to them OR send a picture with the cut cord and a picture of the back of the machine! I have never heard of something so ridiculous. In addition when I spoke to customer service 5 days ago I specifically asked if the warranty would start over for this new machine.

They said yes. The email I received today specifically says it does NOT.

Fortunately I purchased a 2 yr warranty on this machine when I bought it. But I will NEVER purchase another DeLonghi product again and I do mean NEVER!

Delongi toaster

I am sending this as i have had brought a delongi toaster not cheap and its not fit for purpose. Why do you have to only have sliced bread in it, if u you buy uncut bread or get that bread sliced it wont o in or if it does wont pop up. You then are using a knife to get bread out. The slots are riddiculous in this day and age very substandard. Brought this as good make not really a toaster that works in todays world.
